Organizational Profile
Owensboro Health serves the medical needs of nine counties in western Kentucky and two counties in southern Indiana. Last year, we delivered 1,820 babies, performed 273 open-heart procedures, 436 hip and knee replacements and 1.276 million lab tests. Licensed to operate 477 beds (including 30 transitional care beds), Owensboro Health is proud to show you our organization – by the numbers.

Our history shaped us into the health care organization that we are today. From 1863 – now, from Owensboro City Hospital to Owensboro Health, from a twelve patient room facility to a 477 bed hospital to the construction of a new hospital, the people of Owensboro Health have provided unprecedented quality care to this community.
