Job Summary
  • Provides direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, service assignment or physician. Training is provided relevant to the population served, based on scope service assignment of care of the.
Job Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for review.
  • Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions.
  • Performs plan of care interventions.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

  • High school graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Kentucky required. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS)Healthcare Provider required within 30 days of employment in this position.

  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to working a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
