Baby Boxes for Infants in Need

Nearly 2,000 babies are born at Owensboro Health each year, and many new mothers lack essential items to care for their babies once they leave the hospital.

The Baby Box program supports these families by providing basic baby care supplies for those first days at home. Our care boxes contain:

  • Onesies (2)
  • Sleeper
  • Blanket
  • Bib
  • Baby wipes
  • Diapers (24)

Items are purchased, packaged, and wrapped by the Owensboro Health Volunteer Auxiliary, then distributed to the hospital’s Mother/Baby unit. Nurses and case managers provide the boxes to disadvantaged mothers.

The program has been in existence for 22 years and has helped over 2,300 new mothers and their babies. Your contribution will help provide a bright, healthy start for local families.
