Involving Families in Patient Care
Owensboro Health Chaplain Jeff Hastings said it best. “Our new hospital will be a place where not only the best and qualified physicians and nurses will be able to work together, but families will be able to stay with their loved ones, and in turn, help them heal quicker.”
Patient and family-centered care is a priority now and was a priority throughout the new hospital design process. This remains a priority throughout a patient’s stay and beyond on their road to wellness.

- Private baths in patient rooms
- Laptop stations throughout the hospital for family and visitors
- Patient Education System – integrated with the TV in patient rooms for both education and entertainment purposes
