Medical Reference Library

Open to Owensboro Health medical staff, employees, students and the public, our full-service, on-site medical library offers convenient access to a wide range of peer-reviewed texts, including professional journals and electronic databases. While materials do not circulate, our medical reference librarians will perform literature searches, fulfill article requests and assist you with research.

The library is staffed from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.. Physicians have physical access to the library at any time, through the physicians' lounge.

Designated an Area Health Education Center by the State of Kentucky, our clinical journal holdings date from 1990 and our nursing journals from 1995. Internet access is available from the library computers.

Research requests can be made via phone, fax or email, and information can be delivered to physician offices via courier or email.

While we try to accommodate all inquiries in a timely fashion, information requests are triaged based on clinical care needs.
