Family Care Unit

Service/Responsibilities

Family Care Unit serves all pediatric patients, both surgical and medical. We serve post-op gynecology patients, and provide a wide range of medical-surgical services, including ENT and Urology. 

Technology

Family Care Unit utilizes computerized charting, pagers, and El-Pass security system for all Pediatric patients 12 and under.

Staffing

Our unit has 19 beds. The unit provides care using a team approach with unit guidelines designed by unit team members. We are a closed unit for staffing. Nursing staff includes R.N., L.P.N. , nurse assistants and unit secretaries.

Training/Continuing Education

The training for this department includes  PALS certification, BLS, annual skills lab, and quarterly pediatric education.
