New Surgeon Coming To Muhlenberg County

Eduardo Gonzales, MD

Dr. Eduardo Gonzales began seeing patients June 1st

Owensboro Health’s One Health medical group is proud to welcome a new provider, with board-certified general surgeon Dr. Eduardo Gonzales bringing full time surgical care to Muhlenberg County.

Dr. Gonzales is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry. He then attended medical school at Wake Forest University and completed internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Gonzales said at all times he wants patients to feel that they’re getting the highest quality care possible.

“It's an honor to be called on to alleviate suffering, to provide a cure when possible,” Dr. Gonzales said. “I like to be able to give to the patient a good experience. You have to provide good outcomes, and that's what we want to provide to people, at a good value.”

And Dr. Gonzales said being based in Muhlenberg County is a very comfortable fit.

“I like the lifestyle. I like not having traffic. I like the fact that the people I treat are my neighbors, my friends and church members,” Dr. Gonzales said.
