About MultiCare Madisonville
MultiCare Madisonville began in 1995 as the vision of Dr. Scott Gaines and 
six physician associates. The group’s goal was to offer high-quality primary and urgent care to Madisonville and the surrounding area.
A year later, the practice acquired the historic Bailey Mansion—over 100 years old—and began renovations suitable for a modern medical practice. Today, the original structure stands at the heart of MultiCare’s 10-acre campus. After a century of service to Madisonville, the beautiful mansion now offers a warm, homelike setting to patients and visitors.
Joining Owensboro Health
In 2006, MultiCare became part of Owensboro Health, and it was the perfect arrangement for both MultiCare and Owensboro Health.
Looking to extend its services into the Madisonville area, Owensboro Health found in MultiCare a well-established practice with outstanding facilities and an excellent reputation. In return, Owensboro Health offered MultiCare patients access to advanced services and an award-winning hospital and the commitment to improve technology at the Madisonville site.
“We had a great product then, but with Owensboro Health it has gotten even better,” says Dr. Gaines. “We’ve been able to upgrade technology and bring advanced services to our patients.”
