Job Summary
  • Provides clinical pharmacy services throughout the hospital. Assists in staffing surgery satellite and central pharmacy in distribution areas as needed.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews interpret and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.

Education
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy required. Doctorate degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Licensed as a Pharmacist (R.Ph.) in the state of Kentucky required. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
Work Experience
  • None required.
Skills & Attributes
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
