  • Job Summary
    • Provides analysis, facilitation, and coaching on projects to improve clinical outcomes, quality, and patient safety.
  • Job Responsibilities
    • Assists leaders in the development, implementation, and monitoring of key performance measures for identified improvement projects.
    • Collaborates with leaders in implementing and reviewing measures of effectiveness from cause analysis action plans.
    • Coaches staff on the continued use of improvement tools, including the error prevention tools for patient safety.
    • Participates in key projects to identify improvement opportunities and conducts research as needed in order to make appropriate recommendations.
    • Performs statistical analysis of data compiled from various sources. Prepares reports and makes recommendations based on findings; identifies trends/patterns, causes for variation, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Serves as expert and resource for improvement teams in regards to strategies, plans, and tools. Helps design and facilitate programs, meetings, and education on improvement.
    • Collaborates extensively with providers and clinical team members to improve quality and completeness of documentation.
    • Educates stakeholders on defined quality measures and best practices including documentation standards.
    • Possesses ability to influence and inspire and be respected as a ''change agent'' for improvement.
    • Analyzes information for peer review, medical staff credentialing, and reappointment.
  • Organizational Responsibilities

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Nursing. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. If Bachelor's degree in Nursing licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required.
  • Work Experience
    • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in related field required. Must be able to generate reports, written documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and graphs.
  • Skills and Attributes
    • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Exercises judgment to solve complex problems. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and interdepartmental relations; practices professional written and oral communication skills; self-directed with the ability to provide leadership to others; requires a strong understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures related to process improvements and change management.
