  • Job Summary
    • Plans, designs, and manages Citrix system in support of organizational needs. Responsible for large and complex assignments. Completes assignments that are broad in nature. May be assigned several components of a project. Exercises judgment to solve complex problems. Impacts quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Job Responsibilities
    • Participates in the implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring of Citrix system to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
    • Manages multiple Citrix Application Farms.
    • Manages redundant pairs of Citrix Netscalers.
    • Responsible for VMWARE Administration.
    • Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identifies, communicates and resolves systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
    • Provides IT and end user training where required.
    • Carries out Tier II system management responsibilities.
    • Proactively monitors and reports on the Citrix Environment and troubleshoots any problems.
    • Ensures backup and restore functionality of Citrix system servers.
    • Performs planned maintenance of Citrix system.
    • Participates in On-Call Rotation 24/7.
  • Organizational Responsibilities
    • Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.   • Education
    • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field required. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • None required. Microsoft and Citrix certifications preferred.
  • Work Experience
    • 3 - 8 years experience in a related field. Experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and Netscape required. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and AD required. Ability to work without close supervision especially when encountering new customers and situations; ability to take personal action to pursue goals when unexpected changes or significant obstacles are encountered; ability to initiate action without waiting for others to take the lead. Effective oral and written communication skills to ensure accurate transference of information between employees and customers plus the ability to effectively communicate information, concepts, and ideas to others. Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills and commitment to customer satisfaction. Experience working in a 24/7 mission-critical data center environment.Extensive experience with Network Architecture, routing protocols, IP, and VLANs. Strong network troubleshooting ability. Excellent documentation and professional communication skills. Relevant experience in the Healthcare IT environment is preferred. Experience with Citrix VDI preferred.
