Biography
Ashley Burden is a certified nurse midwife who loves welcoming babies into the world. She enjoys watching mothers and fathers become parents and helping them make informed decisions with family planning and the birth of their children.
She was inspired to become a nurse and midwife by those who cared for her during the birth of her four children. “I knew that I wanted to provide those services to women in my community,” she says. “I wanted to educate women to have ownership of their own pregnancy, labor, birth experiences and healthcare.”
Ashley sees her job as promoting, protecting and supporting women's right to safe, competent care from puberty throughout their lifespan. This includes prenatal care, preconception counseling, GYN care, family planning services/contraceptive counseling, labor, delivery, postpartum care and well-woman care.
