Dr. Shamai graduated within the top 7% of his class from Nova SouthEastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees.   He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic, Weston, Florida.  He then continued his medical education at Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute, New Orleans, Louisiana, where he completed his Cardiovascular Fellowship and served as Chief Cardiology Fellow.  Dr. Shamai completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.  

He carries a special interest in complex cardiac revascularization and heart failure management.   He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).

Dr. Shamai specializes in both invasive and non-invasive diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. He also performs high risk percutaneous coronary and vascular interventions.
