Jacqueline (Jill) Braun, APRN

Jill Braun is following a path that started when she was a child.

“I just had a calling for as long as I remember. Even when I was little, I knew I wanted to be a nurse or be in healthcare,” Braun said.

First she became a nurse, working with long-term heart patients on the road to recovery. That’s where she decided that she wanted to do more.

“I worked in cardiac rehab for a lot of my career. Just working with the patients that had so many health problems on top of their heart disease, trying to help them meet their personal goals, it made me realize I really enjoyed that one-on-one patient relationship and that's what pushed me toward primary care,” Braun said.

Braun already had an associate’s degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville and a bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of Southern Indiana. She followed that with a master’s of science in nursing, also from USI, and completion of her nurse practitioner (APRN) certification in 2014.

Braun said being a primary care provider is a life-long commitment to her patients.

“I hope to be able to develop a relationship with them, to form a bond and trust where they can come to me with any concern,” Braun said. “I think part of it is to help patients where they're at and move toward their goals. I want to help them get to the best health they can be in.”

Braun and her husband have two daughters. In her spare time, Braun enjoys reading, spending time with family and horses.
