Biography
Dr. Roger K. Pons is board certified in both general and colorectal surgery and he has extensive experience in managing wound-care complications. He brings more than 25 years of clinical experience to his role at the Wound Care Center in Owensboro.
Dr. Pons enjoys seeing immediate improvement in his patients after surgery and values helping those who would otherwise have a bad outcome. He is new to the Owensboro area, but says he loves the community and is very happy to be here.
Dr. Pons earned his medical degree at Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed his general surgery residency at medical facilities in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and in Cincinnati. He also completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
