Healthpark Fitness Center Level 1 Reopening Guidelines
Beginning June 1, 2020
Level 1 of our reopening process will include access for Healthpark members to the fitness floor, locker rooms and pool areas only. Group classes, personal training, swim lessons, massage, Playpark and other services will be reintroduced at a later time still to be determined. Track access for Healthpark members will also be closed during the Level 1 reopening phase. Capacity limits are based on per hour volumes and determined in reference to CDC guidelines, Medical Fitness Association standards and square footage allocations for each area.
- Fitness Floor – 30 person maximum
- Therapy Pool – 5 person maximum
- Competition Pool – 5 person maximum
Visit time limit
The duration of your visit to the Healthpark will be limited to one (1) hour. It is our desire to accommodate as many members as possible during our available operating hours. The time limit will help maximize the number that can exercise on a given day. The visit parameters as well as capacity will be increased as we move to Levels 2 and 3 of our reopening plan.
All members must use the main entrance. Temperature checks will be required and you will receive a color-coded tag that will be specific to the fitness floor, therapy pool or competition pool. Tags will be given out for a one-hour period on a first-come, first-serve basis as space is available.
Extra cleaning will be required in order to keep our environment safe. We take pride in providing the cleanest spaces possible for you to continue your exercise program. We also need your help during your visit in order to achieve this goal. Please be sure to wipe down your equipment on the fitness floor before and after use. Fitness and housekeeping team members will also be cleaning surfaces and equipment throughout the day. Together, we can provide a safe environment for all of our members and team members.
The CDC does not recommend that masks be worn during exercising. Therefore, Healthpark members will not be required to wear a mask while exercising but may choose to do so in common areas when not working out. All Owensboro Health staff members are required to wear a mask in public areas and during member or patient contact interactions.
At-risk population recommendation
If you are 65 or older or have underlying health conditions that are identified as at-risk populations, we strongly encourage you to continue to be healthy at home.
