Prepared for Childbirth Express Series
These classes provide a general overview of birth process. It is also for those who want to get what they need in a shorter period of time.
Prepared Childbirth Classes are usually two 3-hour morning classes.
Two consecutive 3-hour classes in the afternoon according to room availability and instructor availability.
When you register, whoever you list as a birthing partner on the registration form will automatically be registered for your chosen class or tour.
You may bring your own snacks, drinks or meal to eat during class time.
Prepared Childbirth Classes 1-3:
This 3-class series is designed to be taken around 7 months of pregnancy and is adaptable and may include:
First class: Review preterm labor, high blood pressure in pregnancy & warning signs. Introduce breathing and relaxation techniques to help with the end of pregnancy and prepare for labor.
Second class: Preparing for labor, discussion of labor pain & comfort, onset & stages of labor, role of the coach.
Third class: Understanding medical interventions during labor, pain relief medications and epidural anesthesia, and cesarean birth and postpartum physical & lifestyle changes
Tour of Maternity Services included throughout the 3-class series. You may register for a separate tour if you want to include other family/labor support people who are not attending childbirth classes.
The Baby Care & Safety Class and the Breastfeeding Class information is NOT covered in Express Class Series. Those classes are offered on separate dates.
If in-person Classes and tours are cancelled due to Physical Distancing ,classes online with an instructor through WebEx so questions may be answered
All registrants who sign up for this class will receive more information via email. A virtual tour is offered per WebEx during the Childbirth Express Class series already included if in-person Childbirth Classes are cancelled and only online WebEx classes are available.

Will be offered Wednesday and Thursday from 1 - 4 p.m.
Recommended for expectant mothers and coaches due in June or July wanting a general overview of information.
