Prepared for Childbirth Express Class
During this one-time class, you and your support person will get a shortened overview of the birth process, including epidurals.
This class provides a general overview of birth for those planning to get an epidural or who need to get the information in a shorter time.
It is recommended to take our Prepared Childbirth class series if you plan for a natural birth. The Comfort Measures Workshop will offer an in-depth practice of labor exercises and comfort techniques.

You’ll find this series especially useful when you’re about six or seven months pregnant.
The Baby Care & Safety Class and the Breastfeeding Class information are NOT covered in the express class. Those classes are offered on separate dates. Hands-on Comfort Workshop for hands-on practice of breathing, relaxation, and comfort techniques also available.
Tour of Maternity Services included at the end of class but may add 30 minutes to class time. May register for a separate tour if you want to tour with other labor support people not attending childbirth classes.
This Prepared Childbirth Express series will be offered on a Saturday morning, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. We will offer a tour at the end of the class for those who want one, but it may add 30 minutes to class.
Recommended for Mom & partner between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. Other classes recommended during this time are the Breastfeeding Class and the Baby Care Safety Class. The Hands-on Comfort Workshop is also recommended to take after the Prepared Childbirth Class.
