Prepared Childbirth Wednesday Series
Prepared Childbirth Wednesday Classes are held one evening a week for 3 weeks. These classes are usually offered on Wednesday from 6:00-8:30
When you register, whoever you list as a birthing partner on the registration form will automatically be registered for the class or tour you register for.
This live virtual class will be taught with an instructor via WebEx until we are able to resume in-person classes. A virtual tour is offered via WebEx during the class. All registrants who sign up for this class will receive more information via email.
PREPARED CHILDBIRTH CLASSES 1-3:
This 3-night class series is designed to take around 6 or 7 months of pregnancy and includes:
Class 1: Preparing for Labor
Labor pain and pain theories
Pregnancy warning signs
Last trimester of pregnancy
Signs of Pregnancy Induced Hypertension
Signs of Preterm labor
Signs of Pre-Labor
Onset of Labor and 1st Stage of Labor

Breathing and Relaxation
Class 2: Labor & Birth Choices
Active Labor through Birth

The Baby Care & Safety Class and the Breastfeeding Class information are NOT covered on Wednesdays. Those classes are offered on separate Thursday nights. Hands-on Comfort Workshop for hands-on practice of breathing, relaxation, and comfort techniques also available.
Tour of Maternity Services included throughout 3 class series. May register for a separate tour if want to tour with other family/labor support people not attending childbirth classes.
Recommended for Mom & partner between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. Other classes recommended during this time are the Breastfeeding Class and the Baby Care Safety Class. The Hands-on Comfort Workshop is also recommended to take after the Prepared Childbirth Class Series or Prepared Childbirth Express Class Series or Refresher Childbirth Class.
Other classes recommended are the early pregnancy classes: Welcome to Pregnancy Open House and the Pregnancy Nutrition and Exercise classes that are usually taken anytime from the discovery of pregnancy to 20 weeks.
