Owensboro Health Announces 2012 President’s Award

Award recognizes employees and physicians who exemplify organization’s core values and mission

OWENSBORO, KY — Owensboro Health has recognized 12 employees and one physician with the President’s Award. The annual program identifies and honors top performers nominated by their peers and selected by a team of past award winners. Recipients must demonstrate outstanding performance and reflect behaviors and attitudes that compliment the hospital’s core commitments (integrity, service, respect, teamwork, innovation and excellence) and its mission to heal the sick and to improve the health of the community.

Winners receive awards during informal surprise receptions at the workplace. Employees choose from prizes that include vacations, home improvement and entertainment packages. Physician winners select a charity for contributions to be made in their names. All winners celebrate at recognition banquet with their families, friends and coworkers.

The 2012 employee winners include Sandy Adams, registered nurse—Family Care Unit; Suzette Austin, technician—Pharmacy; Brian Baughn, human resource analyst—Human Resource Development; Beth Cecil, dietitian—HealthPark; Patricia Curry, unit clerk—Nursery; Josh Davis, application analyst—Information Systems; Rick Graham, materials specialist—Materials Management; Tim Henry, maintenance mechanic—Facilities; Rachel Iler, registered nurse—Infusion/Nursing Support; Donna Luck, registered nurse—Surgery; Becky Stewart, registered nurse—outpatient surgery; Debbie Tate, registered nurse and stroke coordinator—Medical-Surgical Services.

The physician recipient is Scott Chapman, MD, psychiatrist, Outpatient Counseling Center.
