Owensboro Health's One Health Medical Group Welcomes Cardiologist Michael Lam, MD to Multicare

Michael Lam, MD

OWENSBORO, KY (November 10, 2015) – Dr. Michael Lam is a board certified cardiologist with Owensboro Health’s One Health medical group, offering specialty heart care to the Madisonville community.

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Lam attended Augusta College, followed by his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. Internship and residency followed at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Lam has also completed a cardiovascular fellowship and nuclear cardiology subspecialty training, both at the University of Louisville.

“I guess I've always been in the helping profession. I worked in my father's hardware store,” Dr. Lam said. “It seems like a far stretch, but I also had family friends who were doctors and I worked on projects in their office. Eventually I put the two together.”

Dr. Lam said he is looking forward to offering needed cardiology care to the people of Madisonville and the surrounding region.

“Madisonville is a great city and I am happy to be a part of it,” Dr. Lam said.
