One Health Muhlenberg Construction Complete

Open House slated for Tuesday 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Owensboro Health and Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital have completed construction on the 8,000 square-foot One Health Muhlenberg clinic located on the corner of Hopkinsville Street and Weir Road. Construction began in February and the clinic will open in May 2016, and serve as home to One Health Rapid Care and specialty provider groups including orthopedics, obstetrics, medical oncology and primary care. In addition, the clinic will house additional outpatient radiology and laboratory services.

“It’s our mission to heal the sick and to improve the health of this community,” said Ed Heath, CEO of Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. “One way we can contribute to that mission is by increasing local access to healthcare providers. We recognize the need for additional primary care and specialists in our local community, so we’re expanding services and making space for more to come in the near future.”

Owensboro Health Interim President and CEO, Greg Strahan is excited about the additional services that will now be available to Muhlenberg County residents.

“Owensboro Health is committed to impacting the health of our communities through creating better access to primary care services and continued development of outpatient facilities. Research shows that education and better access to care helps people prevent illness and improve the health of their community,” said Strahan.

An open house and ribbon cutting will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at 420 Hopkinsville Street, Greenville, KY. Community members are invited to attend.
