Owensboro Health’s One Health medical group is proud to welcome Dr. Abdelkader Almanfi, a board-certified cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiac and vascular care. Dr. Abdelkader Almanfi will begin seeing patients July 1st.
Dr. Almanfi earned his medical degree at Al-Arab Medical University in Benghazi, where he also completed an internal medicine residency and a post-doctoral cardiology fellowship. After moving to the United States, he completed internship at George Washington University in Washington D.C. and residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis.
Dr. Almanfi also completed cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, considered one of the top medical centers and cardiology research facilities in the world. His training and work there, he said, are part of why he strives to learn new methods and technologies related to cardiac care.
