Owensboro Health Hosts Annual Rehabilitation Reunion Picnic

Rehabilitation unit celebrates 26 years with past patients.

This year marks the 26th year that the rehabilitation unit at Owensboro Health has been open and serving patients in the region. The annual Rehab Reunion is set to take place at English Park on September 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event, part of National Rehabilitation Awareness week, is open for anyone who has been a patient in the rehabilitation unit at Owensboro Health. A picnic lunch will be provided for patients and one guest. This yearly reunion provides time for patients to meet back up with the caregivers at Owensboro Health that they spent time with while recovering in the rehab unit.

“This reunion is just as much for our staff as it is for the patients,” said Jeremy Crowder, manager of the rehabilitation unit at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. “It means so much for us to be able to check-in with our past patients and see how they are doing. It is something that we look forward to all year long.”

Owensboro Health’s Rehabilitation Unit is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
