Owensboro Health medical oncologists change location for patient visits in Ohio County

Two physicians with Owensboro Health Hematology & Oncology who see patients in Ohio County will be changing the location where they have their office visits.

Jewraj Maheshwari, MD and Dattatraya Prajapati, MD currently see patients at Ohio County Hospital in Beaver Dam. Beginning July 1, they will be seeing patients at the Owensboro Health Wound Center at 1307 N. Main St., Beaver Dam, KY 42320

Moving the location for these office visits will have benefits for both patients and for Owensboro Health team members who care for them. The Wound Center location has all the Owensboro Health technology and equipment access that team members need, which in turn allows them to better care for patients. The oncologists see more than 550 patients in Ohio County each year.

“Moving locations is the best of both worlds for patients and for staff. We are still seeing patients in Ohio County, which is convenient for them, while doing so in an Owensboro Health facility,” said Rachel Knott, practice manager for Owensboro Health Hematology & Oncology. “Being at an Owensboro Health facility makes it that much easier to access the health system’s resources – including the Epic electronic medical records system – and to have support from Owensboro Health team members on-site.”
