Owensboro Health Healthplex gets a new entrance lane

OWENSBORO, Ky. (July 1, 2019)– Motorists visiting the Owensboro Health Healthplex in Powderly soon will be able to slow down to turn into the facility’s drive without hindering other vehicles behind them. Construction to modify the entrance at 2025 Everly Brothers Blvd. will begin on July 8.

Road crews will be adding a de-acceleration lane to the southbound lane, providing safe access for motorists turning into the Healthplex entrance and parking lot.

Due to road congestion caused by this project, motorists exiting the Healthplex must make a right turn into the southbound lane. The crossover to access the northbound lane will not be available until the road construction is completed. Motorists wishing to go north are advised to turn around at the light at Doss Road.

Construction is slated to begin on Monday, July 8, and is expected to be completed by early August. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
