Dashboard Update

OHRH

As of June 18 at 9:30 a.m., there are four COVID-positive patients at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The dashboard also shows the number of suspected cases that are awaiting test results or persons under investigation (PUI).

Patients being tested for clearance purposes, such as a transfer to another facility or to be cleared for surgery or a procedure, were previously listed under PUI on our daily dashboard. We will now separate them from actual suspected cases to avoid confusion.

The number of COVID cases requiring hospitalization is down, allowing the health system to move forward with reopening phases such as increasing the volume of elective surgery. This decrease is due to our community wearing masks in public places, washing hands frequently and keeping physical distance from others. We urge everyone to continue these measures. Although our local hospitalized cases are decreasing, positive test results across the state continue, which is why we must remain vigilant.
