Owensboro Health Foundation Gala Postponed
With COVID-19 cases rising, Owensboro Health Foundation has decided to postpone the 2021 fundraising gala from November 6, 2021, to February 5, 2022. This decision is difficult, but it is in line with our core commitment of integrity as we work to keep our community healthy.
Since its inception, the Foundation has supported numerous Owensboro Health projects impacting the people's lives in our region. In fiscal year 2021, more than 18,000 of our family members, friends and neighbors benefited through programs funded by your support.
Programs include Mammograms for Life, providing free breast health services to medically underserved women; the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital providing specialized equipment to match the unique needs and critical nature of premature infants, services at Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center, scholarship programs, a nursing simulator to teach best practices in patient care and safety, backpacks for the homeless, car seats to families in need, bike helmets for the community, and many more. Owensboro Health Foundation’s mission is to develop volunteerism and philanthropy to meet and serve the needs of patients, families and all communities in our 18-county service area.
None of this is possible without you. Owensboro Health Foundation relies on the generous support of the community to sustain these long-term health initiatives.
