Owensboro Health Walk-in Wellness Screenings to Provide Health Assessments

The Owensboro Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic will be offering two Walk-in Wellness Screenings in April and May. The clinic will provide skin-cancer screenings and diabetes assessments for walk-in patients.

Skin Cancer Screenings: Saturday, April 20

On Saturday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Family Medicine Residency physicians will provide free, head-to-toe skin-cancer screenings. Same-day biopsies will be offered for those with lesions identified as areas of concern. Biopsy procedures will be billed to insurance, and standard co-pays will apply.

Diabetes Assessments: Saturday, May 18

On Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the resident physicians will be performing diabetes assessments, free for the first 100 patients. The assessments include urinalysis and on-site tests to determine glucose and A1C. Same-day results will be available and diabetes educators from the Owensboro Health Healthpark will be available for counseling.

Location

Both events will be held at the Owensboro Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic on the first floor of the Parrish Medical Building, 811 E. Parrish Ave. in Owensboro, and no appointments are necessary.
