Biography
Amy Scott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor who works with adolescents, couples, families and adults. Amy has 30 years of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings with diverse populations. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kentucky Wesleyan College and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville. Amy’s areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship and parenting issues, anger management, disordered eating, stress management, addiction, grief and trauma. She is trained in a variety of treatment practices, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused and person-centered therapies. She is also certified in EMDR, which is a specialized technique used in the treatment of trauma.
