Biography
Dr. Arthur Westermeyer brings more than 30 years’ experience providing invasive, non-interventional and non-invasive cardiology treatment and procedures, including cardiac catheterization, nuclear stress testing, echocardiography and more.
He chose a medical career as an opportunity to help people improve their lives. While much of medicine is merely treating diseases, he says cardiology allows him to fix things – often very rapidly.
Dr. Westermeyer finds it especially rewarding to treat patients who are so ill they cannot perform daily activities. “Afterwards, I’ll hear them say, ‘This is the best I've felt in a long time,’” he says. “When people finally feel good, it improves their mental well-being and whole outlook on life.”
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Westermeyer tends his large vegetable garden, including heirloom tomatoes, his specialty. He also enjoys his rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias.
