Biography
Pediatric specialist Dr. Ernestina Gambrah was drawn to a career in medicine by a deep desire to help people in their most vulnerable moments and to become an advocate for underserved populations. Her favorite aspect of pediatrics is interacting with the kids, getting to see “their personalities, quirks and ability to be genuinely themselves.”

Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Gambrah chose to practice at Owensboro Health because she shares its goals of “empowering and providing the tools to patients to live happier and healthier lives.”
While earning her medical degree, Dr. Gambrah also earned a Master of Arts in Urban Bioethics at Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Her thesis was titled, “It’s Trending: The role of social media in increasing adolescent health literacy.”
