Jennifer Hughes, DNP, APRN

Jennifer Hughes is a nurse practitioner with Owensboro Health Medical Group. She is board certified in family practice and wound care. She has a special interest in wound care and is also trained in hyperbaric medicine.

Jennifer earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degrees at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. Originally from Grayson County, Kentucky, Jennifer wanted to return to serve the community where she grew up.

Jennifer started out as an RN on the Medical-Surgical and Critical-Care units. After becoming an APRN, she treated patients of all ages at Owensboro Health Family Medicine in Leitchfield before transitioning to practice wound care full time. She now provides wound care and hyperbaric medicine services at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center.
