Darby Cole, MD to practice at family medicine residency

Dr. Cole will continue to see patients in Ohio County as he takes on new faculty role OWENSBORO, Ky. (April 10, 2019) – Beginning May 6, 2019, Dr. Darby Cole of Ohio County will assume a faculty position with the University of Louisville Family Medicine Residency program in Owensboro.

At the same time he is taking on this new faculty role, Dr. Cole will maintain a presence at Owensboro Health Medical Group – Family Medicine in Ohio County. His office, located at 1213 N. Main St. in Beaver Dam, will be open five days a week, with Dr. Cole seeing patients two of those days. 

Beginning in 2020, medical residents will also rotate to Dr. Cole’s office in Ohio County and will be able to see patients, providing expanded access to primary care services for people in Ohio County and the surrounding communities.

The UofL Family Medicine Residency Program is made possible through a collaboration with Owensboro Health that will complete physician training while providing expanded access to care for patients within the Owensboro Health service area. The residency is currently in the accreditation process and will begin accepting students in 2020.
