- The University of Louisville School of Medicine Gratis Faculty Teaching Award: The recipient of this award is selected annually for demonstrating “outstanding teaching skills.” Dr. Falcone received this award in November 2018.
- The 2018 Association for Surgical Education’ Linnea Hague, PhD Promising Educational Scholar Award: Nominees must demonstrate a number of qualities, including teaching effectiveness and excellence, active involvement in program or curriculum development, surgical education leadership and more. Dr. Falcone received this award in May 2018.
Dr. Falcone added that he was able to earn these awards because of the teams on which he works.
“This was not a solo effort by any means. I am very thankful that I had support for my award application from the University of Louisville Department of Surgery, and I feel that this award reflects not only on myself, but my colleagues in Owensboro, Louisville, and beyond,” Dr. Falcone said.
