Dr. Francis DuFrayne

Our findings about COVID-19 change daily, as we learn more about how it spreads, its symptoms and potential treatments. But one thing that hasn’t changed since the start of the pandemic is the support from our community. Whether it’s Facebook comments and letters to the editor, donations of PPE and handmade masks, or a tribute from first responders, we are overwhelmed by our amazing community. Thank you for your support!

Emergency Department Safety

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is taking every precaution to ensure patient safety. If you need treatment, do not hesitate to come to the Emergency Department. We’re using triage tents and negative pressure rooms to make sure patients are kept separate and not exposed to the virus. Please do not delay care for urgent medical situations.

We’re Lucky To Have Great Hospitals In Our Area

From Readers Write, published in the Messenger Inquirer, April 23, 2020

I want to acknowledge the courage and dedication of everyone at Ohio County Hospital and Owensboro Health Regional Hospital who cared for me during my illness. For several days, it was almost certain I had COVID-19, but the brave men and women cared for me as they would any patient. I feel I would not have survived without the prayers of sincere people and dedicated workers at Ohio County Hospital and OH. In difficult times, it is very comforting to know we have so many truly special people.
