Annual Food Drive Off To Great Start

Food Drive

The Owensboro Health Holiday Food Drive is underway! Every year our team members manage to donate tons - really, tons - of food to provide for those in our communities that need a little extra help. Team members also purchase t-shirts to wear during the holiday season, creating funds that help pay heating bills or buy winter coats for children.

Our mission is a straightforward one - to heal the sick and to improve the health of the communities we serve. The annual food drive is just one way we live that mission.

At Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center, team members donated 1,527 pounds of household products and canned goods - just on the first day on the food drive! In Greenville, Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital team members have donated 2,702 pounds of food and personal care items. In Owensboro, an entire mini storage pod was filled with donated food. These items stay in the community where they’re given, so team members are helping their neighbors.

The food drive will continue until December 17 with drop off locations at every Owensboro Health facility.
