OH signs on as Presenting Sponsor for three major upcoming community events

OWENSBORO, Ky. (June 15, 2021) Owensboro Health is proud to announce partnerships with the City Of Owensboro and the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum to sponsor three major upcoming community events - the Owensboro Air Show, Downtown ROMP Air Show After Party and ROMP Fest.

Owensboro Health is Proud to Support our Communities. Each year, we form partnerships with organizations working to improve and impact our region. These Presenting Sponsorships demonstrate Owensboro Health’s commitment to being a strong community partner, with the financial support for these three events totaling over $52,000.

Owensboro Health’s mission is to heal the sick and to improve the health of our community - a mission lived in recent days by treating COVID-19 patients, offering convenient ways to get tested and providing more than 85,000 vaccines to the community. However, healing goes far beyond traditional medicine, and that’s why Owensboro Health has placed a priority focus on “Arts in Healing.”

“Events like these are good for our mental health as well as a healthy economy,” Mark Marsh, Owensboro Health President and CEO said. “We're committed to supporting Owensboro as we all recover from the past year. Owensboro Health is ready to help our community get back to normal in a healthy way.”

Owensboro Health will be the presenting sponsor of the 2021 Owensboro Air Show the weekend of August 13-15, 2021.

“We are thrilled to build on a great relationship with Owensboro Health and value their partnership with the 2021 Owensboro Air Show,” said Public Events Director Tim Ross. “Signature events like the air show that entertain tens of thousands of people in our community and bring visitors from throughout the country to our city are not possible without key community partners. Owensboro Health has been one of those for our community for years and we are excited to build on that with their partnership for the 2021 Air Show.”

Immediately following the Owensboro Air Show on August 14, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum will host a Downtown ROMP Air Show After Party, also sponsored by Owensboro Health.

The partnership will continue for the ROMP Fest, September 15-18 at Yellow Creek Park.  ROMP Fest is a bluegrass-centric roots music festival produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum with attendance exceeding 25,000 each year.  This signature event in an opportunity for our community to host people from around the country and from across the globe who travel to Owensboro to experience bluegrass music.

The Hall of Fame’s executive director, Chris Joslin, commented, “Much like Owensboro Health, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum focuses on the impact we have on our community, and ROMP events are a powerful gateway for people to discover ‘Music with a Mission’. Working with Owensboro Health on programming that engages people creatively, physically, and cognitively while promoting the music that is so closely linked to our culture and heritage is very energizing.  It’s who we are as an organization, and it’s great to live this out together as a community.”
