COVID-19 Update: Changes to Restrictions, Rehab Relocation, New Clinic Hours

Changes to COVID-19 Restrictions

Owensboro Health is easing COVID-19 restrictions as cases continue to trend downward. These items are part of the re-opening phase two, which starts today:

  • Patients who are in the hospital are allowed two designated visitors (who will be provided with a green arm band) for non-COVID-19 patients each day
    • Outpatient Therapies and OHMG Clinics will begin allowing two designated visitors
  • Unlocking visitor elevators at OHRH
  • Allowing therapy animals with their handlers on the non-COVID floors
  • Allowing pastoral care volunteers back to non-COVID floors
  • Allowing volunteers to deliver to non-COVID floors
  • Allowing in-person retirement parties for team members

Additional adjustments may follow, based on the status of COVID-19 cases.

Rehab Relocation

The Owensboro Health Regional Hospital rehabilitation unit will return to its home space on the fourth floor tomorrow, after moving to the seventh floor in August to make room for a surge of COVID-19 patients. The fourth floor is no longer used as a COVID-19 overflow area as cases decline.
