Healthy Tips Video: Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering is vital to helping others, worthwhile causes, and to the community. But the benefits of volunteering are even greater to you, the volunteer. Volunteering can reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and give you a sense of purpose.

April is National Volunteer month, and we would like to thank our Owensboro Health volunteers for the number of hours that they give to us each and every day. Volunteering at the hospital might include making deliveries to patients, working our guest services desk, working at our gift shop, or even working in pastoral care or connections.

At Owensboro Health, the opportunities to volunteer are countless, but our volunteers are priceless. If volunteering at the hospital is something you might be interested in, please give us a call at 270-417-3100, and ask to speak about a volunteer opportunity that might be perfect for you.
