“These events present an opportunity to showcase the richness of Indian culture,” said Dhiren Haria, M.D., a nephrologist with Owensboro Health who serves as the President of the OCA board. “Cricket is growing in popularity in Owensboro, Henderson and Evansville, and I encourage everyone to come out and learn about this wonderful sport along with various cultural and traditional events from India.”

Later this year, Owensboro Health will also participate in two additional events as part of this sponsorship—the Raas Garba event on Oct. 21 and the Annual Cultural Program on Nov. 18, both in Evansville.

Chief Medical Officer Francis DuFrayne, M.D. said that it’s important for Owensboro Health to support cultural events that represent an increasingly diverse community.
