OHRH Cath Lab Room 1 Receives Imaging Equipment Upgrade

Catheter Lab

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital recently upgraded the imaging equipment in Cath Lab Room 1. The new system provides a clearer picture for physicians performing cardiac and structural heart procedures, while also reducing radiation exposure to patients and staff.

The upgrade took three months to complete and was completed at the end of 2023. Drs. Rastogi, Shire and Gupta, interventional cardiologists, are maximizing the benefits of the upgraded room. Cardiac Cath, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures are performed in this room, just to name a few.

"The new imaging system is a significant upgrade for our patients and staff," said Dr. Rastogi. "These innovations will help us provide our patients with the best possible care."

Owensboro Health is committed to providing its patients with the most advanced care possible. These improvements are just one example of how the health system is continuously investing in its facilities and equipment to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.
