This award goes out to eligible Healogics® Wound Care Centers® that have a Wound Adjusted Comprehensive Healing Rate of 83% or higher from December 2023 to November 2024. In addition to meeting the target Wound Adjusted Comprehensive Healing Rate of 83%, Clinical Excellence Award recipients must also meet all criteria necessary under the Healogics® Center of Distinction criterion to be considered for the award, which includes:
- A patient satisfaction rate greater than or equal to 92%
- Having an outlier rate less than or equal to 16%
Lisa Gentry, Nurse Manager of Owensboro Health Wound Care states that “our team provides excellent care on a daily basis to improve the health of our community” and that “this award signifies the level of excellence that we provide to our patients” and “validates that that we are healing wounds and changing our patient’s lives for the better.
In addition to this award, Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Wound Care Center also received the 2023 Center of Distinction Award. Michelle Gore, Clinical Nurse Manager at Twin Lakes Wound Care Center, notes that the “center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent” and that “although we are honored to receive this award, nothing takes the place of providing the best care to our patients on a daily basis. It is most rewarding to see the many great outcomes and seeing patients enjoying their lives to the fullest.”

Care for pressure injuries, burns, infections, blisters, and diabetic wounds, along with specialized treatments and services such as Lymphedema therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and other advanced wound care modalities, are among the many wound care options offered by our experienced team.
