Owensboro Health welcomed Leadership Owensboro today for Healthcare in Our Community Day, a deep dive into the region’s healthcare landscape. Participants explored challenges, resources and innovations shaping the future of local care.

The afternoon kicked off with a working lunch, where Owensboro Health President and CEO Mark Marsh welcomed the group. Discussions focused on access to healthcare and vital community resources, with speakers from emergency services, public health and family support organizations.

The program continued with a panel on healthcare’s current challenges and future opportunities. Owensboro Health leaders, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. Francis DuFrayne and Chief Operating Officer Mack Howell, shared insights on evolving patient needs and system-wide improvements.

Participants also toured the HealthForce Kentucky mobile learning simulation lab, which provides hands-on training opportunities to grow the region’s healthcare workforce.

Leadership Owensboro’s program aims to equip participants with a deeper understanding of the community’s needs and opportunities. Events like today’s session help future leaders find ways to strengthen healthcare access and quality for everyone in the region. Owensboro Health is proud to have four team members participating in the program this year!
