Our Team’s Resilience During Winter Weather
As winter storms impact our communities, we thank our remarkable team members throughout the Owensboro Health system. Our dedicated professionals work tirelessly to ensure that medical care remains uninterrupted in our hospitals. From the front-line caregiving team and those in supporting roles who help keep operations running smoothly.
The Owensboro Health Call Center team typically handles between 800 and 900 daily calls. On Monday, they managed a total of 4,669 calls. Whether addressing customer concerns or providing important information, instances such as this demonstrate our commitment to delivering exceptional service every day.
Our commitment to the community is the cornerstone of all our efforts and initiatives. This dedication is proven by many team members who set aside their comfort and make sacrifices, such as staying overnight in hotels or emergency housing at our hospitals to be present for patients. Additionally, those working extra hours ensure patients are informed and updated about their medical care. These efforts highlight the thoughtful power of compassion and the significance of selfless service. This unwavering determination is essential for maintaining vital medical services.
“Many people often underestimate the contributions and sacrifices made by our team members who provide health services 24/7. This includes both clinical and non-clinical team members, as it truly takes a large team to support our communities. They showed up for our communities during the recent storm and will continue to be there for the next one, too!” said Beth Steele, Chief Operating Officer.
As patients seek warmth and healing in our hospitals, our compassionate team members stand as pillars of strength, representing the true spirit of community and care. Thank you for all that you do!
