Owensboro Health and KCP invite community to “Love Your Lungs” events Nov. 3–7

Owensboro Health, in collaboration with the Kentucky Cancer Program (KCP), will host a week of Love Your Lungs events across the region Nov. 3–7 to promote lung-health awareness, prevention and early detection. Each event is free and open to the public.

Attendees can explore a six-foot inflatable lung exhibit from KCP, which illustrates the effects of conditions such as cancer, COPD, pneumonia and bronchitis. Clinical teams will provide oxygen-level screenings, radon education, a cancer-screening checklist and resources for COPD, lung cancer and smoking cessation. Tobacco treatment specialists and respiratory therapists will also be on hand to answer questions. Additional offerings include pneumonia, RSV and flu vaccines, plus nutrition and fitness tips for healthy lungs. (Vaccines available while supplies last.)
