Exciting Opportunity: Owensboro Health Volunteer Auxiliary Scholarship!

Owensboro Health is now accepting applications for its Volunteer Auxiliary Scholarships. 

Seven scholarships, each valued at $2,000, are available for past teen volunteers, children of team members, or team members who are not currently receiving tuition reimbursement and wish to pursue a career in healthcare at a college or university.

The scholarship recipients will receive two payments in increments of $1,000 —one to be paid in August 2025 and the other in January 2026. The awarded scholarships can be used for expenses such as tuition, course fees and books.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is 4 p.m. on March 31, 2025. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by the beginning of June. 

The 2024 scholarship recipients are as follows:

  • Logan Calhoun – Murray State University, Psychology
  • Hannah Franklin – Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, Nursing
  • Taylor Hayes – Kentucky Wesleyan College, Biology, Pre-Med
  • Jacob Nugent – University of Kentucky, Human Health Sciences
  • Dominic Ranallo – Western Kentucky University, Pre-Med
