Biography
As an undergraduate, Dr. Chase Witter worked as a certified nursing assistant in a long-term care and rehabilitation facility. "I noticed that there was a podiatrist in the facility that did wound care. I thought it was amazing what he could do with his small list of treatment options and decided that I wanted to be a podiatrist and help people heal wounds," says Dr. Witter. "It wasn't until I got to school that I realized to what extent I could help people. There's not many things more rewarding than healing a wound and helping somebody keep their limb,” he says.
In his practice, Dr. Witter treats bunions, hammertoes, ankle sprains, forefoot and rear foot fractures, plantar fasciitis, ankle and forefoot sprains and tendonitis of the foot and ankle. He also performs wound care and surgery for limb salvage of the diabetic foot. He prefers to exhaust conservative treatment before considering surgical options for his patients.
