Darla Alvey provides OB/GYN exams and screenings, as well as birth-control counseling and prenatal and postnatal care.
Darla chose a career as a nurse practitioner because of a deep desire to meaningfully impact peoples’ lives. She was inspired by a high school health-science teacher and now strives to mentor those who are interested in a healthcare career.
Darla wants to be part of her patients’ journey, providing support, education and advocacy during some of the most intimate and transformative moments in a woman's life.
“I love the continuity of care that this specialty allows,” she says, “building long-term relationships with patients, getting to know their stories, and becoming a trusted source of support and education.”
When not caring for patients, Darla enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two daughters, who love to play softball.
