E. Ashley Turley, DO

Family Medicine physician Ashley Turley feels strongly about caring for patients with obesity, helping them achieve a healthy weight and prevent serious health conditions later in life. She takes a multifaceted approach to treatment, encouraging a healthy diet, physical activity and lifestyle changes, and prescribing weight-loss medications when needed.

She enjoys caring for the whole family, from infants to great-grandparents, providing the best care in every stage of her patients’ lives. She focuses on preventive medicine, helping her patients take ownership and make decisions that will improve their health now and in their future.

Dr. Turley can’t remember a time when she didn’t want a career in medicine. From the age of two or three, she would line up her dolls and treat them for various conditions. “I was always interested in science and problem solving,” she says, “and medicine was the perfect avenue to use my interests to help others.”

Dr. Turley and her husband, also a physician, both grew up and completed their training in Kentucky. She says coming to Owensboro Health has given them the opportunity to pursue their professional interests while being close to their family in a place that feels like home.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Turley enjoys travel, cooking, gardening and photography. “I also joke that I am a connoisseur of children’s clothing since becoming a girl mom,” she says.
